A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hobbs passed away at 11:38 pm on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Dauterive Hospital.
Marlene’s joy in life was taking care of her family as well as her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Kinman of Iowa, Melonie Lewis of Indiana, Craig Leonard Hobbs of New Iberia, Tracy Robin and husband John of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kindel McGuire, Garry Saylor II, Michelle Hobbs, Aaron Price; great-grandchildren, Kaya McKenzie Saylor, Devon McGuire, Jordan McGuire, Keenan Price, and Payton Renee Price; and son-in-law, Byron “Epsy” Price.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hobbs; parents, Raymond and Hazel Gillespie; daughter, Nadine Renee Hobbs Price; sister, Donna Gillespie; and brother, Ronnie Gillespie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Society in Marlene’s name.
