

She is survived by her daughter, Frederica (Freddie) Tucker of New Iberia; her son, C.J. Broussard, Jr. and wife Vicki of Baton Rouge; grandsons, Ricky Tucker and wife Lynette of Lafayette and Barrett Tucker and wife Carrie of San Antonio; great grandchildren, Magen Tucker Ronsonet and husband Ryan, Breonn, Hanna, Mason, Alex and Taylor; and a great great grandson, Evan Ronsonet.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Claude J. Broussard, Sr.; parents, Louis and Yola Champeaux; three brothers, Leonard, Fred and Ned Champeaux; and a sister, Nettie LeBlanc.
During her life, she was active in numerous civic, school and social activities. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, Catholic High School Mother’s Club President, Beta Sigma Phi life member (past President), BSP city council, Valentine sweetheart and Girl of the Year. Anne was also a past President and life member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and a 25 year member of the Bon Annee Dance Club. Both Anne and her husband served in many capacities of the LA Sugar Cane Festival Association for a number of years. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, dancing and working puzzles.
Visiting hours will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 10:00 am until religious services at 2:00 pm. Fr. Paul Onuegbe will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum on Admiral Doyle Drive.
Pallbearers will family and friends of Mrs. Anne.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all those that cared for her prior to her death, especially Dr.’s Bujard, Ditch and Cenac, and the staff of Garden View Assisted Living, Consolata Home, and Belle Teche Nursing Home.
