

LYDIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Norman Glenn Landry, the former Mary Lynn Lasseigne, age 78, 10:00 am Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr Jace Eskind. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday with the Rosary at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at St. Nicholas Catholic Church from 8:00 am until service time.
A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Lydia, Mrs. Landry passed away at 9:03 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her son’s residence.
Mrs. Landry was retired from the Morton Weeks Federal Credit Union with over 40 years and was presently on the Board of Directors. She was also a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Mother of Mercy Choir. She enjoyed cooking for her family on Sunday’s, playing pokeno, watching LSU and Saints football, sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer L. Zagar and husband Michael and Stacie L. Burke and husband Albert; four sons, Gerry Landry and wife Kathy; Ron Landry and wife Rhonda and Stephen Landry and wife Angela all of New Iberia, and Brent Landry and wife Monica of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Richard (Margguerite) Hebert of Lydia and seventeen grandchildren, Gerrit “T Blu” Landry, Melissa Landry, David Boudreaux, Trent Landry, Trish Landry, Katie Vallet, Heston Lee, Baileigh Landry, Griffin Landry, Taylor Dugas, Hunter Landry, Andrew Landry, Allison Estes, Brienne Zagar, Zane Zagar, Kyle Meche, Kaci Lassalle; nine great grandchildren, Faith Landry, Carrie Boudreaux, Carson Romero, Aurianna Estes, Carter Estes, Briekyn Meche, Mark Lassalle, III, Tallon Guiberteau and Tucker Zagar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Glynn Landry; parents, Louis and Ora Boudreaux Lasseigne; one sister, Marion Broussard and four brothers, Earl J. Lasseigne, Freddie Lasseigne, Theophile Lasseigne and Lester Lasseigne.
Pallbearers will be Gerry Landry, Brent Landry, Ron Landry, Stephen Landry, Zane Zagar and Kyle Meche.
All of her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers along with Lynn John Broussard, Gene Hebert, Ernest Freyou and Dr. Martha Coppage.
