Micky Anthony Broussard

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be celebrated for Micky Anthony Broussard, age 32, at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Bro. Zack Mitchell will officiate and selections will be sung by Rene and Susie Armentor. Interment will be follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of services.

Micky was born November 23, 1980 in New Iberia to Dean and Harriet Landry Broussard, and passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 in New Iberia.

He was a 1998 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School, and worked as a machinist. He previously worked with Precision Tools for over 10 years and most recently with Fredericks Machine Shop. Micky was a fan of UFC and MMA, loved fast cars, and enjoyed hunting. He was a very caring, compassionate person who never met a stranger and was always happy go lucky. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexia Michelle Broussard, who has always been the apple of his eye and he always said, “She was my life and my heart!”; his parents, Dean and Harriet Landry Broussard; his brother, Justin D. Broussard; paternal grandparents, Noah and Joyce Broussard; many cousins, Clint Landry, Meghan Pye, Julie Landry Bell, Jan Landry Tankersley, Jason Landry, Mindy Landry Delino, Jeremy Pye, Kelli Landry, Brad Louviere, and Seth Louviere; his aunts and uncles, Rodney Landry, Becky Pye (Mark), Jerry Landry (Susan), Harry Landry, Jr. (Debra), Tammy Louviere, Neil Broussard (Tranaci and Barid, Bevin, Beau), Corey Broussard (Shontel and Brayon), and the mother of his child, Andrea Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry F. Landry, Sr. and Rita Dugas Landry.

Pallbearers will be Justin D. Broussard, Truman Volter, Billy Savoy, Jason Landry, Jerry Landry, and Harry Landry, Jr. (Micky’s Godfather).
