Peter Joseph Holtzclaw

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Peter Joseph Holtzclaw, age 58, at 10:00 am Monday, March 24, 2014 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Peter passed away at 4:28 am on Friday, March 21, 2014.

Peter was the owner of All Weld Inspections, LLC and a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church and KC Council #12997. He enjoyed gardening, appreciated art and had a great love of animals. Peter lived life to the fullest and appreciated spending time with family and friends, whom will miss him dearly.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Holtzclaw and wife Nancy of Loreauville; two sisters, Pamela Holtzclaw Gaspard and husband Joey of Maurice and Sherry Holtzclaw Hardy and husband Danny of Broussard; his companion Todd Andrepont of New Iberia and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, AnnaBelle Prince Holtzclaw Breaux; Father, Robert S. Holtzclaw; Maternal Grandparents, Octave and Lucie B. Prince and his Paternal Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Holtzclaw.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Lucas Willis, Daniel Hardy and Silas Holtzclaw and friends, David Jolet, Wes Walden and Patrick Fontenot. His nieces Amanda Willis, Claire Hardy Wyatt and Quinlynn Holtzclaw Johnson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
