

RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Walter Paul LeBlanc, age 80, at 11:00 am Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gene Tremie officiating. Interment will be held at Beau Pre Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at3:05 am on Monday, May 28, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. LeBlanc worked for the McIlhenney Co. as an Asst. Field Supervisor from 1954 until 1974 when he became the Toll Gate Keeper at Avery Island until his retirement in 2006. He loved his job and the island, gardening and especially spending time with his grandsons and great grandsons.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Terrell and husband Michael of Covington; Rita Floris and husband Kenneth and Cindy Kiper and husband Ben all of New Iberia; three grandsons, Jared Floris, Briley Landry and Benjamin Terrell; two great grandsons, Taigan and Kaison Landry; one brother, Curtis LeBlanc and wife Delta of Delcambre and one sister, Lona Dore of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Menard LeBlanc; parents, Paul and Edoxie David LeBlanc; one sister, Inez Boudreaux and his son in law, Brett Landry.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Floris, Ben Kiper, Micahel Terrell, Jared Floris, Briley Landry, Benjamin Terrell and Kimmy Dore.
