William Darrell Peters

Inurnment will be held at Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, TX.

Darrell was born on December 25, 1975 in Glennallen, Alaska to Peggy Jean Marshall and Floyd Franklin Peters, Jr.

He was a resident of Holden, LA, and passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Darrell was raised in Loreauville where he spent much of his time outdoors, on Lake Dauterive, the Atchafalaya Basin and the Bayou Teche. He loved fishing, frogging, hunting, his dogs, his horses and especially spending time with his country neighbor and Louisiana grandfather, Mr. Sonny Reynaud.

Darrell was currently employed as a mechanic for Ferrara Fire Apparatus in Holden, LA., a job he truly enjoyed and loved the people he worked with. He was a member of Fellowship Ministry of Grace where he praised and loved God and his new life.

He is survived by his son, Eric Peters of Broussard; his mother Peggy Edgar and husband Pat Edgar of St. Martinville; his brother, David Peters of Edinburg, TX; sisters, Shanna Peters Johnson and husband Brent of Huntington, TX and Jennifer Edgar Angelle and husband Lon of Loreauville; Maternal grandmother, Mary Hollingsworth Cryer and husband George Cryer, Sr. of Zavalla, TX ; step mother, Wandy Blair Peters of Zavalla, TX; nieces and nephews, Jadyn, Heather, Haley, Dylan, Brenton, Ally, Ambrie, Tinlee and River; aunts and uncles, Janice Hardy, Glentis Marshall, George and Sheila Cryer and Craig and Tootsie Cryer; cousins, Tanya, Tony, Tyson, Shannon, Micah, Derek and Shelby and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd F. Peters, Jr.; Maternal grandfather, Glentis “Monkey” Marshall;

Paternal grandparents, Floyd F. Peters, Sr. and Peggy Faye Burrows Peters; cousin, Allen Cryer; and his Louisiana grandparents, Sonny and Lucille Reynaud.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to Fellowship Ministry of Grace, 17400 Florida Blvd, Holden, LA 70744.
