

Provincetown, MA- Alice Emily Jackson, 99, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2014 at Seashore Point in Provincetown, MA. Born July 5, 1914, in Willimantic, CT, she was the eldest child of George Telage and Elmaza Simon Telage. For most of her life, she resided in New London, calling Thames Street "home" for more than sixty years.
Alice was a proud employee of Southern New England Telephone Company for 38 years, as an operator, service representative, and customer service cashier. After her retirement in 1979, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Lebanon, her parents' homeland. Her skill with the crochet needle was amazing; new babies and newlyweds received beautiful afghans because of her generosity.
Alice is predeceased by her husband Charles Jackson and by her siblings, Mary, David, Marsha, Jiggs, and Rose. She is survived by her son, James Reheiser, Sr. and his wife, Betty, of MA; three grandchildren, Karen, Kim and her husband, Scott, James Jr. and his wife, Kim; four great-grandchildren, Rachel, Nicole, Celeste, and Hayden, and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews along the Eastern seaboard.
Alice's relatives and friends are invited to gather in Cedar Grove Cemetery, 638 Broad Street, New London, for a graveside service on Saturday, May 24th, at 11 a.m. Lunch will follow at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church reception room, 41 Cross Rd., Waterford.
