Anita Friedman

Anita was born on November 29, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Julius and Rose Lehman Cantor. She married Jack Friedman on September 1, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. She enjoyed swimming, knitting and donating her craft to Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. Anita was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always gave of herself to her family and friends.

Anita is survived by her loving husband Jack of 67 years, her son Ronald and wife Gaye Friedman of San Diego, son Louis and wife Paula Riley-Friedman of Southington, daughter Sharyn and husband Richard Caudle of Rocky Hill and Laura Friedman Carpenter of Old Lyme in addition to her brother Louis Cantor of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian, David and Alexis Friedman, Samara Wilburn, Steven and Jeremy York, Julia Carpenter Rand, Melissa and Sarah Carpenter and six great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 1:00pm in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London, CT 06320.
