Mr. Kinn was born on June 26, 1923 in Mobile, AL the son of the late Theresa & Leon Kinn. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1957. He was employed for many years as a custodian at Fitch Junior High School in Groton. He is predeceased by his wife Miriam in 2003. Mr. Kinn was a long time member of the the Victory Lodge of Elks #1096 & Shiloh Baptist Church where he served on the usher board for many years
Mr. Kinn is survived by three daughters, Teresa Kinn-Welford of Groton, Lisa Kinn of New London, and Patricia Harris of Mobile AL, two sons Kevin Kinn of Groton and Lamont Kinn Jr. of Detroit MI, 12 grandchildren including Yolanda Herron, Jamal Paire, and Alicia Chandler, including his nephew, William Pettaway of Mobile AL.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010, 11:00 am at Shiloh Baptist Church in New London. Calling hour is 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to service. Interment will be private. Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, New London is handling the arrangements.
