He was born on October 5, 1939, in Waterbury, the son of the late Robert K. Walter, Sr., and Emily Kiick Walter.
Mr. Walter was retired and was formerly employed as a sales manager at Keeler & Long in Watertown and more recently as Logistics Manager at Liquid Plastics in Middletown. A former Rotarian he traveled and participated in various club activities all over the northeast and served as Waterford's first club President.
He is survived by his wife Joan Roden Walter; his sons Robert K. Walter, III, and his wife Elizabeth of Colchester, Garrett Walter and his wife Sherry and Christopher Walter, all of Waterford; his brother Lance Walter of Plantsville; his sister Linda Stapleton of Cheshire; his grandchildren Andrew S. and Jessica S. Walter.
Services will be private.
