Calvin Joseph Schmitt passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2011 at his home in Slidell. He was born in New Orleans to Eva Helen Claret Schmitt and Joseph Jacob Schmitt. Calvin is survived by his cherished children, Joseph Schmitt (deceased), Joy Schmitt Abraham and Gay Schmitt Bourgeois; grandchildren, Buddy, Bambi, Brandi and Tiffany, also survived by 10 wonderful great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to the visitation Friday, March 25, 2011 beginning at 11:00 AM, followed with a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans.
