Doris Burvant Cazes

Doris Marie (Mimi) Burvant Cazes, a native of New Orleans and resident of Slidell for the past 11 years, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis A. Cazes and is survived by her daughters, Colette Cazes Duffour (Sidney), Yvette Cazes, and Luzette Cazes Pecoraro; five grandchildren, Colette Duffour Bozant (Kurt), Denise Duffour Haab (Mark), Michelle Duffour, Jered Pecoraro (fiancé Shara), Jonathan Pecoraro (Alaina); nine great grandchildren; niece, Lynne Burvant Melcher. Doris is the daughter of the late Estelle and George Burvant and sister of the late Forrest Burvant and Yvette Burvant Hoss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. with visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M.
