Douglas James Carlos

Douglas J Carlos passed away, Wednesday 19, 2012, at age 70. Beloved husband of Dianne Fedoroff Carlos, Father of Deborah Carlos Cali ( Brian) grandfather of Brandon and Samantha Cali. Brother of Ronald Carlos (Barbara) and Lydia Carlos Foght ( Don). Preceded in death by his parents, the late Lincoln and Eva Grube Carlos and siblings, LJ, Richard, Cyrus John, Nancy Carlos Takemura (Kaz) and Evie Carlos Liwang (Bob).

Brother in law of Peter Fedoroff (Jean), John Fedoroff (Terry), Earl Lombardo ( Bridget), and Joan Lamare.

Also survived by his girls: Charlene Fedoroff, Michelle Fedoroff Zabaneh, Kimberly Zabaneh, and Lacey Lombardo, and many special nieces and nephews. Doug was a long time Winn Dixie Employee, a butcher who grew the Deli Merchandiser position at main office. He enjoyed living in New Orleans East and participated in Whitey’s, a local establishment, and Jolly Jack’s Carnival Club. The past 15 years he has resided in Mandeville where he enjoyed shopping, cooking and spoiling everyone around him. Not only was he large in stature, but had a personality that was larger than life. His fun loving caring spirit will be missed in the world by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend an evening visitation on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm and on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 8:00 am until service time at 10:00 am at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home 3827 Canal Street New Orleans, LA 70119.A private Internment will be held at Greenwood Mausoleum.
