Elwyn Charles Hofmann

Elwyn Charles Hofmann was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior at 10:10 A.M. on Wednesday January 9, 2013. Son of the late Emil Charles and Edna (Erlinger) Hofmann of Gretna, LA. and beloved husband of the late Lorraine Enzler Hofmann.

He is survived by his children Loel and Patricia Hofmann, Richard and Nyla (Hofmann) Gutekunst, Eric and Susan Hofmann, and Keith and Leah (Hofmann) DiPascal, his sisters Mrs. Erlene Lodriguss and Mrs. Erna Hoffman and his brother-in-law, O.P. "Boots" Hoffman. He was “Opa" to his 10 grandchildren and uncle and great uncle to many. He lived most of his life in Gretna, LA. and his final years in Slidell, LA.

Family and friends are invited to join for a visitation at Trinity Lutheran Church, 620 Eliza St. in Algiers, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 followed by a service celebrating his life.
