Leah C. Irvin

Leah Clark Irvin, age 72 went home to be with the Lord, on January 26, 2012. Leah was a native of New Orleans where she worked for 37 years as an educator in the Orleans Parish school system; and also with the “Job Corps” of New Orleans. Leah is the beloved daughter of Evelyn Polete and her beloved father, the late Aaron F. Clark, mother of the late Monique Irvin, and grandmother of Monet C. Irvin. Family and friends are invited to attend her home going service Saturday, February 4, 2012. Visitation begins at 9:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am at the Gloryland Mt. Gillion Baptist Church, 1515 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., New Orleans; where she was a member for more than 50 years. Interment will be in St. Louis # 3 Cemetery.
