
Leroy Robert (Lee) Nolan, lifelong patron and lover of the arts, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the age of 72. Lee was born in New Orleans, graduated from Jesuit High School, received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University, a Master’s from Tulane and was seeking a PhD in Historical Musicology from New York University during the 1970’s. By profession he worked as an electrical designer for Joseph E. Leininger and Associates. Lee is survived by his sister, Roberta A. Leininger, nieces, Janice Leininger and Mary Ann Back, great nephew Joseph Sunseri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert James and Josephine Ingargiola Nolan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am till Mass time. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony, 1010 Common St., Suite 2120, New Orleans, LA 70112, preferred.
