LeRoy Elliott Washington

LeRoy E. Washington, age 63, died on January 16, 2012 in the LSU Interim

Hospital, in New Orleans, LA due to complications following a tragic

accident in his home. A bachelor and lifelong resident of New Orleans,

LeRoy was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Sr. High School. He was the

beloved son of the late Melba M. and Leonard R. Washington, Sr. He is

survived by a sister, Myrtle Anne (Anthony) Duffel, Marina, California and

a brother, Leonard (Albertine) Washington, Jr., Lebanon, PA., along with

a cousin, Jazzette Washington, New Orleans, with whom he was particularly

close. He leaves to mourn his death two nephews, Henry C. (Stephany)

Moore, LaPlace, LA., Troy (Kim) Washington, Upper Marlboro, MD and

two nieces Lori (Rick) Medina, Seaside, CA and Tracy (George) Felton,

Suitland, MD. Also grieving his death is an uncle, Alfred Washington, Sr.,

six great nephews, Henry A. Moore, Dante’ Duffel, Priel Felton, Anthony

Medina, Logan and Landon Washington and a great niece, Jewellicia Moore,

as well as a host of cousins.

At the convenience of the family, a private committal and internment will be

held at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Jacob Schoen and Son
