Mitchell T. Johnson, a 55 year resident of St. Bernard parish passed away at his home on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at age 89 after a long battle with dementia, and heart disease. Is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Shirley M. Johnson. He is survived by his daughter Shirley Thedy, sons Mitchell Jr., Glenn, Richard, Kevin, Timothy, Brothers Arnold and Jimmy, 10 grand children, 8 great grand children. He worked at Higgins Ship Yard before going into the army during WWII. He retired from the World Trade Center Of New Orleans. Mitchell recently said that when I pass away I won’t be upset because I had a good life.
