Norma Mae Lannes Doherty

Norma Mae Lannes Doherty beloved wife of the late Thomas Floyd Doherty, Sr., entered into heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Basile Lannes and Odele Edna Seruntine Lannes. Loving mother of Janet Dwyer Mattern (Robert), Thomas Floyd Doherty, Jr. (deceased), Robert Daniel Doherty, Sr. (Linda), Richard Ellis Doherty, Sr. (Charlotte) and Mary Ann Doherty Tullier (Barry). Grandmother of 12 (Jenny, Cheryl, Johnny, Billy, Paul, Lisa, Rob, Richard, Vance, T. J., Angel and John); Great Grandmother of 14 and Great Great Grandmother of 6. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Sherman, Bernard and Armand Lannes and her sisters, Irma Polizzi, Marie Lannes, Mildred Davilla and Hazel Duplantier.

The family would like to thank St. Tammany Hospice and Forest Manor Nursing Home of Covington, LA for their loving care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 38927 Canal St., New Orleans on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday. Interment will be in Garden of Memories, Metairie, LA
