

passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013. Paul, 80, was proceeded in
death by his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia Gibson Serpas and
parents Elizabeth Schaffer and Paul Alphonse Serpas Sr.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 4 years, Jane Montelepre
Serpas, brother and sister-in-law Donna and Ronal Joseph Serpas and
their family, and sister Maryann Elizabeth Serpas and her family. He
is also survived by daughter and son-in-law Paula (Serpas) and Robert
Young and their children Katie and Christopher Young and Lacey Young;
son and daughter-in-law Cheryl and Steve Serpas and their family and
daughter and son-in-law Michelle (Serpas) and Luis Camero and their
children Nico, Alex and Cole Camero and countless adoring friends.
A U.S. Army veteran and retired New Orleans Police Department
Sergeant, Paul honorably served his county and the city he loved for
30 plus years. Paul never met a stranger, from his interactions on the
beat to his marshall responsibilities on the golf course. He was
engaging, caring and a master joke teller. His love for us all was
unconditional and inspiring. We will miss his laughter and awesome
sense of humor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to Jacob Schoen & Son
Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.New Orleans, LA for visitations on
Tuesday, March 19 from 5-7 p.m. and Wednesday, March 20 from 10-11
a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow on Wednesday at 11 a.m. and
burial procession to Greenwood Cemetery.

of Police Family Fund, Crescent City Lodge # 2, for families of
