

Rita May Stouff Binder passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the age of 79. Rita is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Alois J. (Butz) Binder, Jr.; three children and their spouses, Pamela (Pam) B. Lincoln wife of Kenneth C. Lincoln, Janice (Jan) B. James Von Hoven wife of Frank P. Von Hoven, Jr. and Dr. Alois (Jay) Binder, III husband of DeAnna Binder; grandchildren, Cory T. James, Kristen M. James, Kelsey M. Binder, Andrew J. Binder and Frank P. Von Hoven, III, a great granddaughter, Addison Lynn James and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Rita was a multiple sport athlete and a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School, a member of the U. S. Army Junior Waacs, a friend of Bill W. for 25 years and a proud member of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana. She was known for her “princess wave”, loved cruises and time with family and made new friends wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvina Agnes Savoye Stouff and Octave Pierre Stouff, Sr. a brother, Octave Pierre Stouff, Jr. and a sister, Lenora Stouff Wellmeyer Troyer Daigle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA Visitation will be on Friday, June 29, 2012 between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday, June 30, 2012 beginning at 9:00 A.M. to the celebration of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. Interment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum. Donations to Grace House of New Orleans, 4150 Earhart Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70125 or Masses preferred.
