Willie Berns Hoffmann

Wilhelmina “Willie” Berns Hoffmann passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013, She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1995. Daughter of the late Joyce Ritter Berns and the late Walter Berns, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Ellen Coates Hoffmann, two grandsons, Keegan and Kenneth. Willie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Warren F. Hoffmann, Jr., her beloved children, daughters Karen Graffato (Jerry), Ashley Hoffmann (David Winkles) sons, Wade and Wayne Hoffmann. Her cherished grandchildren, Adele, Alexis, JoeJoe, Jonathan, Emily, Rachel, Victoria, and Wyatt; 3 brothers, Walter Berns, Jr. Jimmy Berns (Dora), Dave Berns Sr (Darlene). Willie is also survived by her very close friends Theresa and Paul Newfield and Marie and Dan Diliberto; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of the 2321 Ladies Auxiliary of Slidell, LA, Willie was well known for the cakes she baked and will be missed by everyone she touched. Family and friends are invited to the visitation Saturday, September 7th, beginning at 11:00 AM followed with a Catholic Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home.
