Barbara L. Howerton

Barbara Louise Howerton age 78 of Tazewell was born May 18, 1936 and went to be with the Lord April 9, 2015. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Isaac and Della Miley; her sisters: Clora Doan Miley and Dorothy Watts; her brother: Gleason Miley

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Junior Howerton of Tazewell

Sons: Donald and Regina Howerton of Tazewell, TN

Kenneth Howerton of Tazewell

Grandsons: Bryan and Morgan Howerton; Wade and Amanda Howerton of Tazewell; Josh and Caitlin Howerton of Tazewell

One great Grand-Daughter: Kennedy Jade Howerton of Tazewell

Sisters: Gloria and Frank England of Morristown, TN

Joyce and Gene Long of Morristown

Brother: Andrew and Janice Miley of Sneedville

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Saturday night April 11, 2015 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 2:00 P.M Sunday in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Turner-Pearson Cemetery.
