He was an entrepreneur with his own floor cleaning business. Former manager of Radio Shack.
Mr. Mercer retired to New Tazewell, TN to raise goats.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne L. Mercer on April 29, 2013; parents, Robert H.Mercer IV and Eunice Cass Mercer; brothers, Robert H. Mercer III, Edwin H. Mercer and David C. Mercer.
He is survived by his:
Son: Christopher Marley Mercer, Jr.; Daughter, Cynthia Marsh; Daughter and son-in-law: Lynn and Dave Carroll; grandchildren, Laila and Matthew; siblings, Harold E. Mercer, Richard E. Mercer, Grace E. Mercer and Nessa M. Klein.
A memorial service will be set for a later date.
