He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beatrice Posey, a daughter, Wendy, and a grandson, Cody Henegar.
He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Sharon Posey; his daughters, Cynthia Posey, Mindi (Greg) Centers, and Staci Sturgill; and his sons, Timothy and David Posey and Randy Thacker. Grandchildren, Michael Wayne Foreman, Payton Centers, and Courtney, Hailey and Jacob Thacker.
There will be a private family service in the New Bethel Cemetery.
