Donna Mae Atkins

Mrs. Donna Mae (Dot) Atkins, age 92 of New Tazewell, TN was born April 21,1933 and passed away peacefully March 25, 2026 at Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was saved at a young age and spoke regularly of her faith. She loved quilting, sewing, fishing, and camping trips to Lonesome Valley, tending to her flowers, and babysitting her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of all, she was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank Atkins: daughter, Peggy (Atkins) Hopkins; parents, Raymond and Bertha (Mabe) Leedy; sisters, Leona Milton, Louvada (Dood) Whitaker Miller, Cornie Ellison, Beulah Sturgill, Nell Laws, Birdie and Hattie Leedy; brothers, Paul Leedy, James (Jim) Leedy, Junior Leedy, and Bill Leedy; grandson, Chad Rosson; and son-in-law, Tony Hopkins.

She is survived by her children: Carol (Dane) Poore of Tazewell, TN; Pat Rosson (Scott) of New Tazewell, TN; Linda (Bill) Seals of Albany, GA; Rick (Terry) Atkins of New Tazewell, TN.

Grandchildren: Kim Delph, Danyel Poore, Benji (Kayla) Rosson, Craig (Brittney) Atkins, Chris (Jessie) Atkins, and Suzanne Seals.

Great Grandchildren: Dawson Delph, Ayden Rosson, Collin Rosson, Cambrie Rosson, Nathaniel Rosson, Kylie Rosson, Ella Atkins, Levi Atkins, and Aleah England.

Great Great Grandchild: Fynnley Rosson

Sisters: Bobbie (Domingo) Ruiz of Tazewell, TN; Judy (Larry Painter) of Tazewell, TN.

Special Friends: Marie Combs and Sharon Sharpe

She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Dawson Delph, Benji Rosson, Craig Atkins, Chris Atkins, Johnny Delph, Nathaniel Rosson, and Victor Owsley.

Visitation will be held in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel Sunday March 29, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral will take place on Monday March 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Graveside to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
