Edna Mae Ellison

Edna M. (Lambert) Ellison age 79 of Harrogte, TN was born February 16, 1933 and passed away September 27, 2012 at Claiborne County Hospital. She was born in Forge Ridge, TN on February 16, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Dessie Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leiman, Ethern, and Arville; sister, Hazel Hammock and two nephews, Estel and Vincent. Edna loved to go to their cottage in Michican, she loved to be outdoors to look at the beautiful mountains, trees, flowers and listen to the birds sing. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. As a young girl, she lived and worked in Monroe, Michigan in a dry cleaners doing laundry. Then, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she and her husband lived for many years. She worked at May Co for 32 years. After retiring, she and her husband Leonard moved to Harrogate, TN where they have lived for the past 18 years.

She is survived by her husband: Leonard of 59 years

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Saturday September 29, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. Saturday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service at 3 P.M. Sunday in the Shoffner Cemetery .
