Elizabeth Wilmoth

Elizabeth Ritter Wilmoth, age 80 of Tazewell, TN was born January 10, 1937 and passed away on Monday July 24, 2017. She was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church. She was a beloved Mother and Grandma. Elizabeth was a former school teacher and principal in Grainger County and a teacher and school board member in Claiborne County. She retired as the Claiborne County Trustee in 1998. Elizabeth loved her community and was a founding member and one time treasurer of Springdale Volunteer Fire Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Wilmoth; parents, Enoch and Lennie (Hayes) Ritter; sisters Delta Johnson and Alice Johnson; brothers Bedford, Clinton, Hassell and Wendell Ritter and son-in-law Jerry M. Fannon.

She is survived by her Son: Greg (Pam) Wilmoth of Chesterfield, VA

The family want to give a special thank you to all the Staff of the Claiborne County Nursing Home for their care and love they gave our Mother, Grandmother and Sister during her sickness.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 27, 2017 from 6 until 9 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service will be Friday July 28, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Jackson Cemetery.
