He was born in Louisiana and grew up in Ponchatoula. After High School, he joined the Navy and after serving his tour eventually joined and retired from the US Postal Service. He loved the Lord and spent much of his retirement years in service to Him in many capacities. He enjoyed talking to people and helping them however he could. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Josephine Rewis; sons, Skip (Tammie) Rewis, Roger (Adele) Rewis; grandchildren, Kristyn (Michael) Bachman, Morgan Hall, Brycen (Rebecca) Rewis, and Cammie Rewis; great Grandchild Dallas; sibling Mary Kay and Jimmy; and other loved in-laws, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and family members.
He will be interred at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida on September 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. after a graveside service.
