George "Bud" Painter

He was born March 17, 1951 to Charlie and Georgia Painter. He was saved at an early age at Cave Springs Church.

He worked many years on the farm and ran a successful logging business. When he wasn't working he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Georgia Painter, daughter Maxine Painter, and sisters Norma Redmond and Nancy Sandifer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Lorene Brown Painter, daughter Kim (Rodney) Bolden, son Matthew (Sara) Painter, and nine grandchildren: Neyland Bolden, Sarah (Jake) Melton, Macie Bolden, Christian Turner, John Mills, Brent Malicoat, and Brayden, Sophie, and Sadie Painter. And one great-granddaughter, Lainey Melton. Also survived by his brothers Junior (Zelma) Painter, Dale Painter, and Clarence (Ann) Painter. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 14, 2024 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held on Thursday August 15, 2024 at 11 AM in the Bethel Cemetery.
