George W. Reed

Rev. George Willis Reed age 88 years old, born May 10, 1927 and passed away March 16, 2016 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He professed faith in Christ at an early age at Providence Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until his sickness and death. He was preceded in death by his loving Wife, Dorothy Jane (Manning) Reed of 56 years; Parents, James & Hattie (Parker) Reed; Mother-in-law, Lula Manning who made her home with Jane and George ; brothers and sisters, John, Elijah & Horace Reed, Suzy Reed, Ida Jefferson, Della Wolfe, Nancy Wolfe and Grace Greene; granddaughter, Melissa Jane Harville.

He is survived by 3 children: Rosamary (Dearl) Harville

Son: Kennith Reed (Carolyn)

4 Grandchildren: Sabrina Phillips, Scott Epperson, Tracy Epperson and Kenny Reed

6 great Grandchildren, 2 great great Grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special caregivers: Miranda Zydell and Selena Farmer

The family will receive friends Friday and Saturday nights from 6 until 9 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel

Singers: Brenda Bolden and Rev. Fred Reed

Pallbearers: Virgil Dalton, Kyle Walker, Wayne Johnson, Tracy Epperson, Kenny Reed, Devan Epperson, Wesley Reed and Hughie Dickerson. Burial in the Hamblen Memorial Gardens.
