James Thurman Essary

Mr. James Thurman Essary age 85 of Tazewell, TN was born August 31, 1930 and passed away May 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Tazewell Methodist Church. James loved gardening, caring for his flowers and wood working, retired from Vulcan Materials after 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Etta (McDaniel) Essary; brother Howard Lee Essary; sons, Billy Joe and Danny James Essary.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years: Ruby Gean (Cosby) Essary

Step Grandchildren: Jeff (Ruth Ann) Davis

Sister: Betty Jean McDaniel Cosby

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Friday June 3, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 4, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
