Jimmie Arthur Nelson

Jimmie Arthur Nelson age 82 of Speedwell, TN was born May 3, 1938 and passed away November 30, 2020 at LeConte Medical Center. Jimmie professed Faith in Christ as a young man, he was a member of Pump Hollow Missionary Baptist Church in Speedwell. Jimmie retired from LMU Maintance Department during the 1970's. Jimmie was an artist for Field & Stream Magazine. He loved playing the guitar, banjo and singing gospel music. Most of all he was a dedicated Father, Grandfather and great Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his Uncles, Otto & Leo Hopper; Aunt Walleta Brummitt Hopper; Mother, Rachel Hopper Beaver; Daughter, Jennifer Lee Nelson; Grandchildren, Daniel and Haley Seals.

He is survived by his Wife of 51 years: Lucille Nelson;

Daughters: Elizabeth Berkley (Scott) Grubb;

Teresa (Roger) Seals;

Grandchildren: Joshua Ayers, Nicole Davidson, Lezlie Berkley, Samuel Seals;

Great Grandchildren: Lexus, Seth, Elijah, Erin and Lee;

Special Friend & Protector: Shelly "The Snake Killer"; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Tri-State Health & Rehab for the exceptional care and love to Jimmie and the continued care for Lucille. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the activity center at Tri-State Health & Rehab. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 3, 2020 at Carr Cemetery. Family and Friends are to meet at Cemetery.
