Joyce Marie Wallen

Joyce Massengill Wallen, age 81, of Tazewell, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2016. She was a member of Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving Christian mother and friend. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jallie Massengill, husband, Henry E. Wallen, son, John H. Wallen, sister Dorothy Lambert, brothers, Arnold Massengill and Lawrence Massengill.

Joyce is survived by son: Gary (Christine) Wallen of Tazewell.

Daughters: Vicky (Buford) Braden of Knoxville; Debbie Wallen of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mary (Mike) Marsee of Tazewell.

Grandchildren: LeAnn (James) Smith; Mitchell (Jackie) Wallen; Matthew Wallen; Michael and Brooke Marsee; and Tommy and Eric Braden.

Great Grandchild: Hadley Smith.

Sisters; Retha Campbell, Barbara (J. C.) Giles, Shirley Manard, Jean Baumgardner, Linda (Mike) Cosby, and Brenda (Doug) Venable.

Brothers: John (Josephine) Massengill and Richard (Rose) Massengill.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 17th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell. Burial will be Wednesday, May 18th at 11 AM in the Fairview Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. Roger Louthan and Rev. Randy Kincaid. Singing will be by Randy Wallen and Shelia Sharp.

Pallbearers: Trenton Massengill, Tony Headrick, Steve Massengill, Mitchell Wallen, TJ Turner, Michael Cosby, Larry Campbell, Victor Harmon, Matthew Wallen.

Honorary Pallbearers: Claiborne County Class of 1954.
