Born June 18, 1925 in Gibson Station, Virginia, she was the daughter of George and Dona (Upton) Liford. She married Lloyd Weaver in October of 1941 in Tennessee. He preceded her in death in January of 1975.
Maggie attended Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe where she was a former Sunday School Teacher for many years.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Berry Weaver of Monroe; a daughter, Sue (Bill) Hensley of Monroe; a brother, Kenneth (LaVerne) Liford of Okeechobee, Florida; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Lloyd, Maggie was preceded by a brother, John Liford and four sisters, Verna Friar, Lucy Mabe, Victoria Williams, and Gladys Weaver.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00am Tuesday, March 26, 2013 with funeral service to follow at 2:00PM at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell, TN. with Rev. Lonnie Douglas Dalton officiating, Liberty Church Singers and Bill Hensley, Keith Weaver, Paul Wingate, Ron Parrish, Kes Mabe and Lowell Harvey serving as pallbearers. Burial in the Shoffner Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
