Opal Mason

Mrs. Opal Mason age 86 of Cumberland Gap. TN was born September 5, 1926 and passed away April 17, 2013 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vada & Archie Brooks; Child, Barbara Mason; son Hobart Mason; sisters, Lillian Runions, Elsie Carey and Hazel Rowland; brothers Edgar and Aaron Brooks and grandchildren Clint Napier and Crystal Dawn Mason.

She is survived by her Loving Husband of 67 years: Jack Mason of Cumberland Gap, TN

Daughter: Janis Wright of New Tazewell, TN

Sons: Hollis Mason of LaFollette, TN

Danny Mason of Cumberland Gap, TN

Boyd (Linda) Mason of Tazewell, TN

10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren

Sister: Trula Shockman of Temperance, Michigan

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:30 P.M. Thursday April 18, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 4:30 Thursday in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Clifford-Turner Community Cemetery.
