Ray Thomas Carter

Ray Thomas Carter age 80 of Cumberland Gap, TN was born September 10, 1934 and passed away December 31, 2014 at Claiborne county Hospital. He was a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Andy and Bessie Carter; wife of 43 years Patsy Jean Bowman Carter; sisters Georgia Painter and Charlcie Upton and brother James E. Carter.

He is survived by his Wife : Wilma Carter of Cumberland Gap, TN

Sons: Gary Wayne and wife Cynthia Carter of Jacksboro, TN

Larry Ray and wife Glenda Carter of Tazewell, TN

Daughter: Sheila Kay and husband Carson Massengill

Grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda, David, Lance, Adam, Loren

5 great grandchildren

Sister: Helen Faye Potz

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Friday January 2, 2015at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Friday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Cave Springs Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Saturday
