Ronnie Jones

Ronnie Lynn (Hawkeye) Jones passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born November 22, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosa Gibson Jones, sister, Judy Jones and niece, Misty Gibson. Hawkeye was a farmer, logger and coon hunter. He loved to work. He was friendly and helpful to all he met. He was a member of White Shoals Missionary Baptist Church in Flatwoods, VA.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Cook Jones of the home,

His Daughter and light of his life: Sarah West and husband Cody;

His Sisters: Debbie (Darryl) Holt, Georgia (Woodrow) Martin and Bobby Jean Collins all of Mulberry Gap, Neta Martin of Tazewell, TN.

His Brothers, Jerry “Doc” (Kathy) and David; many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. He loved all his nieces and nephews and had a special relationship with them all, but Blake has been his special right hand man on the farm for the past few years.

Hawkeye wants everyone to know he loves everybody and to forgive him if he did anybody wrong.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Saturday June 13, 2020 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 P.M. June 14, 2020 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery, Fortner Road, Mulberry Gap. .

The family would like to thank the nurses of Smokey Mountain Home Health, especially, Lori, Elizabeth, Anne and Sherwin for their kindness and help through his last few months.
