Theodore Keck

Joseph Theodore "Thid" Keck age 91 of New Tazewell TN, was born September 21, 1926 and passed away on November 29, 2017 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. Thid was saved at Thompson Chapel Church in 1953 at a six week revival. He was a life long farmer and worked for the Claiborne County Sanitation Department until he retired. He was an original member and lieutenant of the Claiborne County Rescue Squad and served as Deputy Coroner of Claiborne County. Thid was preceded in death by his parents Lill Keck and Jenny Ann Walker Keck, seven brothers and five sisters. Thid is survived by his wife of 70 years Jewel Keck. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Family will receive friends Friday December 1st from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be Saturday December 2nd at 11 AM in Fairview Cemetery. Minister Rev. Jake Beeler. Singer Dr. Richard Clark. Pallbearers: Mike Davis, Gary Harmon, Kenny Barker, Jerry Love, Cornelius Simpson and Gary Venable. Honorary Pallbearers: Glenn Gambrel, Charles Longmire and Leonard Coffey.
