Walter "Walt" A Simpers

Rev. Walter Allen Simpers went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2019. He was born in Elkton, Maryland December 1, 1946. He was the son of the late Bertha Blanch Akney and Charles Simpers, as well as several foster parents. He was preceded in death by his late loving wife, Pauline Simpers who he loved and spoke of everyday. Walter A. Simpers had 7 brothers and sisters, one which he spoke with everyday, Mildred West. He also survived by his children, daughter Ronda K. Jones of Sneedville, TN and son Brentwood A. Simpson and wife Kendra of Lufkin, Texas.. Grandchildren: Amanda Jones of Westminster, MD; Ashley Jones and husband Chris Jones of Sneedville, TN; Joshua Simpers and Katherine Simpers of Lufkin, Texas; great Grandchildren Elijah Jones, Jonathan Tasker, Faith Tasker, Kamden Jones, and step great-Grandchild, Brianna Jones. In addition, he leaves behind special friends, John J. Miller, Jr., John Sheidy, and Tina Hatfield. Walter was a Veteran of the Navy, he loved to go fishing, spending time with family and friends and stay on the Internet. He had a kind loving heart who tried to help anyone if he could. He will truly be missed.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 9, 2020 with funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Elm Springs Cemetery.
