William Thomas Hammons

He was a member of Carrs Branch Baptist church, He worked as a butcher in Ohio for 14 years and then became self employed until retirement .He also was a member of the Masons, he loved the outdoors especially fishing. Preceded in death by father and mother Hugh and Cora Hammons, brothers and sisters Earl Hammons, Virginia Hammons, Arnold Hammons, Earnest Hammons and Marie Dickson and son Arnold Lee Hammons.

Survived by Ex wife Margaret Ball Hammons mother of his children: son B.J. and Mary Ann Hammons of Speedwell,TN and Daughter Connie and Tom Parker of Tazewell, TN

Grandchildren: Christina and Kent Hammons, Whitney and Lindzi Parker

Brother: Arlie Hammons of Florida

Sisters: Amanda Yeary of Tazewell,TN and Louis Jean Chitwood of Ohio

and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday October 16, 2011 from 6-8pm at the Coffey Funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell with the funeral service to follow at 8pm in the chapel, burial will be Monday October 17 at 11:00am in the Irish memorial gardens.
