Adrienne “The Beautiful”, more affectionately known as Hopey, was born on June 18, 1931 to Joseph Henry Fisher and Hannah Mae Caitlin-Fisher. She was the youngest of five children.
Hopey attended the New York City public school system. After graduating from high school, she most notably worked as a secretary for Sanitary Plumbing and then made a career as secretary for the District Director of New York for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She retired from the agency in 1993.
Hopey liked to travel, dance, dine out, attend the theater, and have the “occasional” cocktail or two. She had a big, bright smile and a hearty laugh. Adrienne will always be remembered for her sense of humor and smooth gliding walk.
Hopey gave to the world her daughters Carmen, whom preceded her in death, and Rosemarie; her grandchildren Andrea, Artie, Aisha, and Eddie; her great-grandchildren, Lauren and Michael; and her great-great[1]grandchildren Lia and Grace. She is also survived by “daughter-in-law”, Shirley; and her nephews Ferdinand and Desi.
