I just learned of Dr. Kling's passing. He was my first dermatologist when I moved to NY. I was in my 20's, in the early 2000s.  To me he was pioneering in his field and always excited about learning and practicing something new, creating his own products back when not many dermatologist were doing that.   He was dedicated to his patients and always had a smile when I asked about the kids, who I got to see grow a bit on the Brooklyn office wall, before it was remodeled. To his family, I send my deepest condolences. Thank you for sharing the video online and providing a space for others to let you know how much  Dr. Kling was appreciated.

I am heartbroken to learn of Alan’s passing. I only found out today. I wish to send my deepest condolences to Julie, Jeffrey, Max, Chloe and their families. Alan was a wonderfully kind and thoughtful friend. I first met Alan when he rented office space in my family’s home in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Alan would often sit and visit with my parents when his day at the office was over. He meant a great deal to my family. Rest in peace dear Alan.

I am so so so sorry to read about Dr. Kling. He was an amazing dermatologist.  He was with me throughout my life cycle.  I went  to Dr King when in  my first year of college.  Stressed!  Watch me finish graduate school. Watch me not sure if wether I wanted to stay in the field I first pursued or choose another path. He was practical when I went back to another grad school at NYU, followed my career.  Chatted with him during my engagement, marriage. Brought my son in for eczema. Had empathy when my mom passed , when my husband had a stroke. He was always there. When I got stressed  or had a break out. Or when I wanted Botox at my wedding and he disagreed.  When I hit   48 he said ok. It’s A Go!!! 
He was gentle, sharp, kind, thoughtful, brilliant, cared and an amazing listener. He could be no nonsense too. 
I recommended  him wherever I went when someone complemented me on my skin.  Just an amazing meticulous MD. 
I still go to the practice in Brooklyn. He had trained his PA well. But it is never the same.  I will never go a Wednesday. That was his day.  I will miss him for ever. Both my son who is now 19 and my husband extend our condolences 💐

I have fond memories of fine conversations over many years.  Will miss Alan greatly, as I am sure all will.

My earliest memory of Alan is his visit to my mother in law’s house in Lido Beach during his residency. He and Joel had become fast friends  at NYU.  I admired his intellect and broad  interests. 
Julie came into his life and he was smitten. 
We danced at their wedding and celebrated new babies ,   
 His passing is very sad.    I know how much he was adored and cared for  by his family.  His star is shining.
