Alfred William Schmitz III passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. He was 69.
He was born in Rochester, NY. He is survived by siblings Thomas Schmitz, Michelle Larsen, Karen Vinson, John Schmitz, Ann McCormick and Catherine Gates, twelve nieces and nephews, and ten grandnieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by father Alfred William Jr., mother Joan and brother Robert. Al was an actor who lived in Manhattan for over 40 years. In addition to music and theater, he was a passionate golfer and gifted gourmet chef.
A celebration of his life will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
