Arthur spent his amazing life as a producer of television news and documentaries. He started on the Price is Right, went on to the NBC news department where he produced a number of documentaries, including a reenactment of Lewis and Clark’s trip of discovery, Lewis and Mary Leakey’s trip to Olduvai Gorge, the building of the Pan-American Highway among many others. In fact, he received two Emmy’s for his work at NBC. After leaving NBC he worked at the Miss America pageant and on to work with Bill Moyer’s on a variety of specials.
Outside of work, he loved so many arts and activities. He loved the Opera more than anything but was also known for his amazing proficiency and passion in the kitchen, his avid bicycling (at 65 he rode across the United States), and for giving tours of the Metropolitan Opera House and Carnegie Hall.
He served our country honorably during the Korean War where he worked on communication. The skills he developed in the army ultimately led to his career in the media.
He was predeceased by his brother Don and his ex-wife Roberta. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Carolyn; his three children; Beth (Charlie), Lisa and Robert; and his 2 grandchildren, Ava and Gabriella.
