Carol Haber

It is with great sadness but many fond memories that we announce the death of Carol Haber on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Carol was born and grew up in Montreal and spent most of her adult life in Manhattan, where she became a "real New Yorker" (but never forgot her roots in Montreal). She was a beloved wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, mother and grandmother, all have wonderful stories about her, and all will miss her terribly. She lived a long, happy and healthy life and fell ill only in the last several months.

A funeral service for Carol Haber will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th Street, New York, beginning at 5 pm, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Interment will take place at Eternal Gardens Memorial Park in Beaconsfield, Quebec, on Sunday, February 8 at 2 pm. Shiva will be held in Montreal on February 8, in New York on February 9, and in Newton, Mass. on February 11 and 12.

Gifts may be made in Carol's memory to the National Council of Jewish Women, the Jewish Museum in New York, or the Jewish charity of your choice.
