Eileen Hughes

Mother of Maureen Hughes McAloon and Timothy Hughes; mother-in-law of Jim McAloon and Michelle Hughes; adored "Nana" of Sean, Kate, Colleen and Rory McAloon and Evan, Quinn and Jackson Hughes. Eileen was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Hughes, Jr. who predeceased her, and a loving sister of Billy (and Carole), Brian (and Marianna), and Rory (and Kathie), and aunt and cousin to a very large extended Irish family.

She was a 1960 graduate of Beaver College, and among the first female MBA graduates of Columbia University. She was a resident of Riverdale and Westhampton, New York, and a longtime member of the Westchester Country Club where she enjoyed golf, bridge and many cherished friendships. Eileen was the daughter of Paul O’Dwyer, former President of the Council for New York City, and the niece of William O’Dwyer, former Mayor of New York City.
