Francine M Ekelman (nee Stein) passed peacefully at home on May16, 2024. Born in Newburgh New York on February 7 1934, long time resident of Greenwich Village and Westhampton Beach. Wife of Merton S Ekelman for 64 years—a wonderful marriage and life partnership. Mother of Felice (Andrew Eckstein) and Dr. Nancy Ekelman, loving grandmother to Isabel Eckstein (Alex Mollozzi) and Adam Eckstein (Molly Cafaro). Professor of history at Pace University, avid reader and world traveler, bicyclist and cross country skier.
