A beloved father, grandfather and husband, Harry passed away on November 3, 2022. He was born on November 14, 1935 in Cologne, Germany. Fleeing Nazi Germany, his family arrived in the US with nothing when he was 3-years old. The family lived initially in a shared and cramped Coney Island walk-up, before moving to the Bronx. Harry graduated high school at 15, attended the University of Wisconsin as a Ford Foundation Scholar, and later graduated from Cornell Law School. Harry was a brilliant and successful trial lawyer, a great storyteller, and had a wonderful and endearing sense of humor. He served proudly and with great distinction for 30-years as a Judge Advocate General in the New York Army Reserve National Guard, retiring as a Brigadier General. Harry loved spending time at a second home in Middleburgh, N.Y. where he became part of the community, and hosted extended family and friends, which gave him great joy. He was devoted to his wife, Doris (now deceased) of 60 years, to his surviving daughters, Adriane, Valerie and Stephanie, to his sons-in-law, Jonathan and Andrew, his grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Julia, Alex, Tyler, Cooper and Julia, and to his sister, Ruth. He was so loved. Harry was immensely loved by his family and will be missed by all.
